Wondershare Recoverit is desktop data-recovery software. It runs on Windows or macOS and scans internal HDDs and SSDs, external USB drives, SD and CF memory cards, and other block storage attached to the machine.
The workflow is a guided three-step scan: choose the source volume, wait for the quick + deep scan to enumerate recoverable files, then preview each candidate (documents, photos, video, audio, archives) before writing it out to a different drive. Filtering by file type and previewing before restore reduces the chance of clobbering good data with a wrong pick.
Scope boundary: Recoverit does not talk to phones. Anything involving an iPhone or Android device - deleted photos, WhatsApp history, contacts, or a stuck-at-logo repair - lives on the separate Wondershare Dr.Fone page.
Two honest caveats: deep scans on multi-terabyte drives can run for hours, and no recovery tool can rebuild data that has been overwritten by new writes to the same sectors. Advanced formats and video repair are gated behind the paid tier.
